Isro has succeeded in bringing the propulsion module sent to the Moon for the Chandrayaan-3 mission back to the Earth

This will make it easier to send astronauts to the Moon and bring them back

(The propulsion module is the primary ‘workhorse’ of the spacecraft. Its main purpose is to deliver the lander from Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO) into lunar orbit and to separate the lander.)

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has executed a unique operation, relocating the Propulsion Module (PM) of Chandrayaan-3 from a lunar orbit to an orbit around Earth, for an extended run after it completed its original mission objectives.

ISRO has said that now the process of returning from the moon to Earth is going to be easy. We are now working on such campaigns. A software is being developed for this purpose. After completing the Chandrayaan mission, the propulsion module of ‘Chandrayaan-3’ has now returned to Earth’s orbit. This is not only a limited success for the Chandrayaan mission, but a feat that proves the ability of any spacecraft or astronaut to return to Earth after completing a space mission. So now it will be possible to send astronauts into space or to the Moon and bring them back safely to earth.
