Take a vow to protect the Muth-Temples and Sanatan Dharma until the last breath : Mahant Sudhirdasji Maharaj, Kalaram Temple, Nashik

State Level ‘Maharashtra Mandir-NyasParishad’starts at Ojhar (Pune)

More than 550 trustees from across the state united to protect and conserve temples

Mahant Shri Sudhirdasji Maharaj

Ozar (Pune) – “Strive for the establishment of Dharma and Hindu Rashtra. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is our ideal. He gave us the vision to fight for the Dharma. Aurangzeb, who invaded Maharashtra with an army of 8 lakh, was defeated by the Marathas. According to the shloka ‘Dharmachya karita amhas jagati Ramane dhadiyale…’, we have been born for the protection of Dharma. Be prepared for the protection of Dharma through the blessings of mantras, Deities and Sadguru. Take a vow to protect the Muth-Temples and Sanatan Dharma until your last breath”, appealed Sudhirdasji Maharaj (Mahant of the famous Shri Kalaram Temple in Nashik) at the ‘Maharashtra Mandir-Nyas Parishad.’ He was speaking at the inauguration of 2-day State-level ‘Maharashtra Mandir-Nyas Parishad’ held on 2nd December at the Shri Vighnahar Auditorium of the Shri Vighnahar Ganpati Mandir Devasthan in Ozar, one of the Ashtavinayak. This conference has been organised in association with Shri Vighnahar Ganapati Mandir Devasthan, Lenyadri Ganapati Mandir Devasthan, Shri Kshetra Bhimashankar Devasthan, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh to unite efforts to protect and preserve the temples. Over 550 representatives of temples, trustees and priests have participated in this conference. Additionally, devout Hindu advocates who fought for the preservation and conservation of temples were also present on this occasion.

Mahant Shri Sudhirdasji Maharaj further said, “When Abdali, an Islamic invader, made his incursion into India in 1760, the Naga Sadhus fought a fierce battle. 10,000 Naga sadhus sacrificed their life in this battle. Since then, the adage ‘Nangese Khudabhi darta hai’ has become popular. This is our history of fighting for Dharma. In our culture, we see Dharma and kingship (Raj-satta). Bruhaspati and Indra, Shriram and Vashishta, Shrikrushna and Sandipani, Pandavas and Dhaumya Rishi, Bali and Indra, are examples of Dharma and kingship (Raj-satta). Due to these two, Dharma is protected. At present, however, there is no control over kingship. Temples have been brought under Government control in Maharashtra. Memorandums have been submitted to politicians on multiple occasions about the temple issues. If the kingship does not listen, we have the solution in the form of elections. Priests bear a significant responsibility to maintain the divinity of the temple. Worship in the temple should be performed according to scriptures. The position of Dharma supersedes even that of Deity. Therefore, all the ritual in the temple should be performed according to Dharmashastra”.

The conference started with lighting the lamp and chanting of Veda mantras

Maharashtra will also be free from halal

Shri Ramesh Shinde

Ramesh Shinde, the National Spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, has been championing an insightful campaign nationwide to advocate for the prohibition of Halal Certification. Taking cognisance of this initiative, the Uttar Pradesh Government has implemented a ban on illegal Halal Certification across the entire State. In Maharashtra, relentless efforts have been dedicated to disseminating information about the implications of Halal Certification to the public. Mahant Sudhirdasji has voiced his conviction that Maharashtra, too, will be free from Halal Certification in the near future.

Message of Sachchidananda Parabraham (Dr) Jayant Athavale, Founder of Sanatan Sanstha, on the occasion of State level Mandir Parishad

Devotees, realise that it is the work of the religious organisations to liberate the temples from the control of the secular Govt

My namaskar to all the temple representatives present at the Maharashtra Temple Trust Council ! The temple is called ‘Devasthan’ as Deities reside in the temple. During the regular puja, abhishekam, etc. in the temple, as well as during the aarti, the Chaitanya of the Deity is emitted. Hence, temples are the spiritual source of Chaitanya for Hindus. Many people experience peace of mind after visiting temples. For this, the sanctity of the temples must be maintained.

Nowadays, the Government is taking over temples citing reasons like ‘management’ and ‘appropriation of funds’. Government representatives, public representatives etc. have been appointed as ‘trustees’ at all the important temples. In fact, one never hears of Government administrators being appointed or acquired over mosques or churches. When the Government representatives take over the temples, customs and traditions are banned. There is corruption in received donations. Other religion’s employees are hired. If this vicious cycle is to be stopped, devout Hindus must take the initiative to free temples from Government control. Devotees, note that it is the work of the religious organisations to liberate the religious temples from the control of the secular Government !
