Commander Lt. Gen. Upendra Dwivedi
New Delhi – Pakistan’s retired soldiers are involved in terrorist activities in Kashmir, said the Indian Army Northern Command Commander Lt. Gen. Upendra Dwivedi. Two captains and three soldiers were killed in a recent encounter with terrorists in Bajimal area of Rajouri District of Kashmir. In this encounter, the security forces killed the top commander, Kwari, who was trained in Afghanistan and a resident of Pakistan, along with one other terrorist.
Lt General Dwivedi informed that, when they tried to identify the terrorists who attacked, they came to know that some of them were retired soldiers of the Pakistan Army. As local youth were not willing to join terrorist organisations, and the lack of support from local citizens of Pakistan, especially youth, Pakistan was trying to send foreign terrorists.
Editorial perspective
If such is the case, then India should directly attack Pakistan and destroy Pakistan or else such retired soldiers will keep coming and we will continue to kill them, this will never uproot terrorism in Kashmir. |
