New rule for the employees of the Assam Government

Guwahati (Assam) – Henceforth, if any Government employee wants to marry a second time, the Government’s permission is mandatory. While explaining the reason for the above rule, the CM of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma said that they face problems when giving pensions to wives post the death of retired or working employees. All the wives make a claim for the pension; therefore, the Government had to make such a rule. This rule will be mandatory for Muslim Government employees too. The Government will take stringent action in case of violation of the rule.
