Pakistan’s cricketer Mohammad Rizwan performing namaz
New Delhi – On 6th October, Pakistan’s cricketer Mohammad Rizwan performed namaz on the ground during its World Cup match against the Netherlands. A complaint has been registered against him. Advocate Vineet Jindal has filed an official complaint against Rizwan with the International Cricket Council. Copies of the complaint have also been sent to the International Cricket Council’s Ethics Committee, the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the Pakistan Cricket Board. Last year too, Rizwan had offered namaz on the field, during the Twenty20 cricket match against India.

Why doesn’t the International Cricket Council instruct all the players that ‘the cricket ground is for playing and not for prayer’ ? In addition, why do they not punish those who break the rules ? |
