New Delhi – The Muslim Personal Law Board has asserted that the actions carried out by Hamas should not be labeled as ‘terrorist attacks’; instead, they characterise them as ‘reaction’. The board has called upon the Indian Government to officially designate Israel as a ‘terrorist nation’ and to assist Palestine in reclaiming their homeland. A formal letter addressing this matter has been dispatched to the Government, and the board has urged Muslims to include the citizens of Palestine in their prayers
1. The board stated that the attack by Hamas was a response to the atrocities committed against Palestinian citizens and the sacrilege of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Israel’s attacks in Gaza Strip have resulted in the loss of innocent lives. The international community must take action to prevent further Israeli attacks, or the situation will deteriorate further. The meeting was convened under the leadership of board President Rahmani. It was noted that from the era of Nehru to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, there had been vocal support for the rights of Palestine. However, since the Modi Government assumed power, this support for Palestine has waned. (If past mistakes are being rectified now, it is a positive step – Editor)
Take action against those who took out a march in support of Hamas at Aligarh Muslim University – BJP MP Satish Gautam’s demand
Muslim students of Aligarh Muslim University in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, took out a march in support of Hamas 3 days ago. BJP MP Satish Gautam has written a letter to the Chief Minister of the state, Yogi Adityanath, demanding, “The name of the university is being tarnished due to such incidents. Therefore, action should be taken against the accused”. (Basically, there shouldn’t be a requirement for such a request, the Police should proactively take action – Editor)
