Two Hindu youths of the Meitei tribe were killed recently in the State. They have been missing since the 6th of July. The names of the deceased were Hijam Linthoingambi (17) and Phijam Hemjit (20). Terrorists killed them and their pictures were put on social media, which triggered violent protests by many students in the city. The Deputy Commissioner’s office in Imphal West District was also vandalised in the early hours, on the 28th of September. Four-wheelers were torched.
