Not wearing hijab in a public place in Iran attracts 10 years imprisonment

Tehran (Iran) – The Iranian Parliament has passed a Bill in which a woman who refuses to wear a hijab in a public place and those women who support her will be liable for punishment. A law has been passed to punish the woman who refuses to wear the hijab, those who support her and those who employ her. Similarly, if this crime is committed by the group; then those who break the law will be liable for imprisonment up to 10 years. According to Iranian law, it is mandatory to wear a hijab in a public place. This law has been opposed for the past one year by the Iranian women. This agitation led to the death of many and the incarceration of hundreds of people in prisons.
