London (Britain) – A Survey conducted by Newspaper ‘The Times’ says, 53.4% of Britain’s ‘Church of England’s priests, have supported same sex marriage. They have also asked amendment in the Church laws for this clause. 36.5% of priests have opposed it too.

The point to be noted is, that, Britain has legalised same-sex marriage in 2014. At that time 51% priests had opposed the law and 39% of priests had supported it.

In the current survey, 64.5% of priests are saying, ‘homosexuality should not be considered a sin or against Christian Scriptures’. While 37.3% of priests said, ‘We have no objection with homosexual relationships.’

75% of priests feel that Britain should not be called a ‘Christian Nation’

According to a survey conducted by ‘The Times’ newspaper, 75% of British priests have said that Britain should not be called a ‘Christian Nation’ anymore. 64% of the priests have said that historically it might be a Christian Nation, but in the existing conditions, it cannot be called a ‘Christian Nation’.

Editorial Viewpoint

Since hundreds of instances of sexual abuse of children and women by the Christian priests have been exposed recently, one cannot expect anything other than this kind of thinking.
