Ramnath (Alibaug) – In Alibaug, the atmosphere heated up after minors in private classes used abusive language against Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Hundreds of angry youth gathered together and left the area in a frenzy with Chhatrapati’s slogans. A case has been registered against all these four children and they have been arrested. This includes three minor children and one boy is Sagyan.
On 31st July, the Police Inspector called a meeting along with Shiv Sena leader Surendra Mhatre and some other important people. Hundreds of Shiv-loving young men and women gathered in front of the Police station and again gathered at Shivaji Maharaj Chowk and raised slogans loudly. The situation was brought under control with the help of public representatives. Finally, additional District Superintendent of Police Atul Zende had a talk with the crowd. Meanwhile, the Raigad District Police Administration has appealed that no one should believe any rumours and maintain peace.
