Azamgarh (Uttar Pradesh)  –  Five Christian women were arrested for trying to convert Hindus in Sikandar Patti village in Azamgarh District. They have been accused to have converted the people under the guise of a prayer meeting.

According to the news media Brijesh Pande of Sikandar Patti informed the Police about the conversions in the village. In his complaint he said that people have gathered in the farm of Vijay Bindra and they are playing songs denigrating Hindu Deities.

The Police arrived at the farm on receiving the complaint. On investigation the Police found some objectionable literature, photos, and musical instruments. The Police arrested 5 women for attempting to convert through threat and coercion. The women were residents of Sultanpur and Jaunpur Districts.

Christian priests allege attack by the workers of Bajrang Dal

In another incident in the Baraich District a priest alleged an attack by the District coordinator of the Oudh province Dipanshu Srivastav and his friends. Srivastav said that earlier I had filed a complaint against the priest Anil for insulting Hindu Deities. And so priest Anil had threatened that he would fix me. (This is the truth about the priests who are said to be giving the message of peace and love – Editor) On 11th July, I was attacked when I was returning home by 4 individuals riding 2 two wheelers. The Police are investigating the matter.
