Bombay High Court denies bail to 3 members of PFI!

Plot to turn India into an Islamic nation by 2047

Mumbai – The Bombay High Court denied bail to three members of the banned Popular Front of India (PFI) on the observing that the organisation was conspiring to turn India into an Islamic nation by 2047. Earlier, the Delhi High Court had also taken a similar view in a case.

1. On 14th June 2022, the new office of this organization was inaugurated in Malegaon. After that, the secret meeting held there was attended by 8 to 10 other people including Razi Ahmad Khan, Qayyum Abdul Shaikh (Pune) and Unais Umar Khayyam Patel (Jalgaon).

2. Atrocities on Muslims in India, mob lynching etc. were discussed in the meeting. Stating that there is a need for Muslim unity to wage war against the country, the attendees were instructed to interact with like-minded people to create an anti- government atmophere.

3. The head of this organization in Malegaon issued a fatwa (order) to kill anyone who spoke against Islam. On September 22, 2022, Gurudev Kale of Nashik Anti-Terrorism Squad filed a complaint in this case. After that the squad arrested few people.

4. After the Special Judge in Nashik rejected their bail applications, the accused challenged the order before the Bombay High Court. However, the Bombay High Court also rejected their bail applications, observing that they were active members of ‘Vision 2047’.

The Court made the following observations regarding the role of the accused:

1. Conspiring to intimidate the government by use of criminal force

2. Instigating people to join them

3. Spreading hatred and anti-national policy against the state by forming WhatsApp groups

4. Disseminating messages detrimental to the national interest

5. Conspiring to achieve ‘Vision 2047’ with the aim of transforming India into an Islamic country by 2047.

Editorial Perspective

The Government should make efforts to ensure that such anti-national people are awarded the death penalty!
