Panvel (Maharashtra) – On 8th July, 5 Muslims offered namaz inside Panvel Railway Station. A video in this regard is currently circulating on social media. Passengers are angry in this matter. Yogesh Chile, spokesperson of MNS and Panvel city president, took objection on this incident. Chile published a video on 7th July afternoon saying, “this country respects all religions, come to Panvel Railway Station to prove it. If offering namaz at the Railway Station is allowed, then Maha-Aarti should also be allowed. All devotees be present at the Panvel Railway Station for Maha-Aarti.”

After this, Police and Railway officials held a meeting with MNS and other Hindu organisations. In this meeting, the administration assured that this kind of incident will not be repeated. The Railway officials also informed that additional Police security will be deployed at the Station. After this assurance, MNS activists cancelled the Maha-Aarti programme. “Any such incidents will not be tolerated from now on and a retaliatory response will be given”, said MNS.
