Actors shown pouring water in ‘Havankund’
Jalandhar (Punjab) – A complaint has been filed at a local Police station against the producers of a film titled ‘Carry on Jatta 3’ for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus. ‘Shiv Sena Hindu Yuva Samiti’s President Ishant Sharma and Punjab Shiv Sena President Sunil Kumar Bunty filed a complaint in this context.
Sharma and Bunty said that there was an objectionable scene in ‘Carry on Jatta -3’ wherein actors Gippi Grewal, Binnu Dhillon, and Gurpreet Ghuggi were shown pouring water in ‘havankund’. It is an insult to Hindus’ religious rituals. Before every religious rite or ritual, ‘havan’ is performed as per Hindu Dharma. A complaint has been lodged about this scene, demanding action against the producers under Section 295 for hurting religious sentiments. It is also demanded that Section 153 should be implemented, in case, attempts were made to disturb the peace in Punjab. Sharma and Bunty have warned of staging agitations outside the houses of film director Kang and actor Gurpreet Ghuggi if action was not taken against them.
Editorial Viewpoint
There are no stringent laws against hurting Hindus’ religious sentiments; therefore, Hindus’ religious sentiments are hurt repeatedly through different media. This situation leaves no alternative but to have a Hindu Rashtra. |
