Bus travelling on Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi Mahamarg met with a disastrous accident : 25 passengers died

Prime Minister, Chief Minister express their condolence, and declare compensation for the families of the dead

Mumbai – A private travel company bus met with a disastrous accident on the Mumbai Nagpur Samruddhi Mahamarg on the morning of the 1st of July. Buldhana Superintendent of Police Sunil Kadsane said that 25 individuals died in the accident. There were 33 passengers on the bus at the time of the accident. Out of them 25 passengers died while they were asleep. Eight passengers were able to save themselves. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde have expressed their grief on the horrific accident. The Prime Minister has announced a relief amount of Rs 2 Lakh to the families of those who died and Rs 50,000 to the injured. Chief Minister will be giving Rs 5 Lakh to the families of the dead. Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed his grief saying that it is a heartbreaking incident.

As soon as the information of the accident the emergency medical team and the fire brigade stationed on the Highway arrived at the site and began their rescue work. The injured were admitted to Buldhana hospitals. The dead have not been identified yet. The investigations are going on.

‘Vidharbha Travels’ owner Virendra Derna claims bus was brand new

The bus belonged to the private travel Company ‘Vidharbha Travels’. The owner of this company said that it was a new bus. The driver Danish was experienced. Its papers are up to date.

The accident happened because of the tyre burst – says Danish, the bus driver

According to Danish, the driver of the bus, the accident happened because of the burst tyre. Thereafter fire broke out and the inflammable items caught fire and the accident happened. Danish was saved in this accident. Buldhana’s District collector said that the accident occurred near Sindhkedraja in the Buldhana District on the Samruddhi Mahamarg. The bus hit the divider on the Samrudhi Mahamarg near Pimpulkhute village and caught fire. The passengers in the bus could not get out of the bus. The bus had turned over and so the door was on the underside of the bus, so the passengers tried to break the glass windows of the bus to get out.

Will fit modern speed regulating systems on the Samruddhi Mahamarg – The Chief Minister’s announcement  

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited the accident site. Thereafter the Chief Minister announced that a modern speed regulating systems would be installed on the Samruddhi Mahamarg.

Inquire whether there is any possibility of sabotage in this accident – Ajay Singh Sengar Chief Maharashtra Karni Sena

There should be an inquiry if there is any chance of there being sabotage in this matter. Because all those travelling in the bus were Hindus. Inquire if this was a plan to kill the Hindus demanded Shri Ajay Singh Sengar, the Chief of Maharashtra Karni Sena.
