People having jihadi mindset are the only ones opposing Uniform Civil Code : Uttarakhand CM Dhami

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) – ‘There has been a demand for a Uniform Civil Code for many years across the country. We had resolved before the people during the Assembly elections last year that if elected, we would appoint a committee to draft the Uniform Civil Code. The committee has interacted with people from all sections of society. Its draft is being prepared. Those who possess a jihadi mindset may oppose it, but the ordinary people of the country are happy with it. Muslim women and intelligentsia support this law’, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said. He was speaking in an interview by a Hindi newspaper.

Who would justify the encroachment on Government land ?

Answering a question on Land Jihad, Dhami said that our aim is not to harm any section. Uttarakhand is a land of Deities. No one breeds bitterness here. The encroachments on the Government lands should be removed by the encroachers themselves. Encroachment on 2,200 acres of land has been removed. One political party indulged in appeasement politics in the country after Independence. They don’t like it. Who would justify the encroachment on Government land ?
