New Delhi – ‘We will oppose the Uniform Civil Code but will not go out onto the streets. The purpose of this law is to create a gap between Muslims and separate them. Maulana Arshad Madani, the head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, said, “The present Government is inflicting such a wound on Muslims that no other Government has inflicted”. He was speaking in the backdrop of the Union Government recently seeking public opinion on the Uniform Civil Code.
Madani further said, “We will not take to the streets on the Uniform Civil Code because if we do that, the purpose of those who are against us will be achieved. We don’t want to let that happen. (Even if Maulana was furious against Muslims, will even a toddler believe the statement of Madani ? – Editor) Political parties are also believing that this is a political game of the Government and there is no truth in it.

Why doesn’t Madani talk about the injuries inflicted on Hindus for the last 75 years due to the lack of a Uniform Civil Code that gives equal rights to every citizen ? |
