Putturu (Karnataka) – It has come to light that a Church is being built on 1.73 acres of land in Kodankuru in Putturu Taluka in Dakshina Kannada District. Local Hindus and Devout Hindu organisations are furious about it. They said that the church is being built (when no Christians live in the area) merely to convert Hindus. BJP MLA from Udupi Yashapal Suvarna has given an order to the local administration to stop the construction immediately. He also assured that after having investigated that the construction was being done for conversion they will take due action. Hindu local residents demand the cancellation of the illegitimate approval for the construction.

Editorial perspective

  • Unity is essential to destroy Christians’ conspiracy of converting Hindus.
  • Hindus believe that a church is being built intentionally to convert Hindu residents in Kodankuru where no Christian live there.
