“Pakistan Zindabad” slogans raised after the victory of Congress in Belagavi

Belagavi (Karnataka) – After the victory of Congress in Belagavi North constituency, activists gathered near RPD Cross and raised slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’. A video in this context was also circulated on social media. Therefore, various pro-Hindu organisations staged a sit-in protest outside the Tilakwadi Police Station on the night of 13^th May, demanding that action should be taken against the culprits. In this regard, Bajrang Dal activists sat in front of the Police station and recited Hanuman Chalisa. The Police administration has given an assurance that a case will be registered against the people concerned in this case, the daily ‘Pudhari’ has reported.

Earlier in the same constituency, during the assembly elections of the year 2018, it was stated that slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ were given in the pre-election rounds. Even then, there was a huge uproar and demands for action.

Editorial viewpoint

It is obvious who could be raising such slogans. It will not be surprising if such slogans would be raised at various places by Pak lovers in Karnataka during the Congress rule.
