Mapusa (Goa) – The Supreme Court is currently hearing a petition on same-sex marriage. Padma Shri Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji Maharaj, head of Shri Datta Padmanabh Peeth in Kundaim, appealed that same-sex marriage culture should be prohibited to keep the society organised. He said, our family system is ideal and due to this system our society is made. He guided the dedication ceremony of Matruchhaya Sanchalti Balika Kalyan Ashram at Khorlim, Mapusa. On this occasion, MLA Michael Lobo, President of ‘Matruchhaya’ Board of Trustees Srinivas Dhempe, Vice-president of International Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Ashokrao Chougule, Managing Director Madhukar Dixit, President of Balvikas Kalyan Sarita Prabhu, etc. were present.

Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji further said,

“The way developments are happening in society in current times, it seems our sanskar (values) is falling short. This is a sign of sanskar degradation. For this, it is necessary to educate children about our culture. All that is in this world belongs to God. Therefore, the spirit of Sanatan culture which is to, ‘offer God first whatever we get’ should be followed. Everyone should strive for Balika Kalyan Ashram”. Srinivas Dhempe, President of the Board of Trustees of ‘ Matruchhaya’ said, “Matruchhaya is bringing everyone together regardless of caste, colour, religion.” MLA Michael Lobo appreciated the work of Matruchhaya at this time.
