Four soldiers killed in firing at military station in Bathinda, Punjab

It is being claimed that the incident was not a terrorist attack but an internal dispute

Bathinda (Punjab) – 4 soldiers were killed in the firing that took place in the early hours of 12th April at the military station in Bathinda. It is still not clear what and who caused this incident. It is being said that this is not a terrorist attack but the firing was due to an internal dispute. The shooters were in plain clothes. Punjab Police sources said that a rifle and 28 bullets went missing 2 days ago. It is being suspected that someone from the army may be behind this incident.

1. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has sought a report from the army about the incident. The Punjab Government has also sought a report from the Bathinda Police. Families of soldiers live in this camp. Following this incident, the army asked everyone to stay in their homes. Schools in the camp to have also been closed.

2. Bathinda Camp is the largest military camp in Asia. The boundary of this camp is about 45 km. The ammunition depot here is said to be one of the largest in the country.
