Protests by the angered citizens

Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu) – On the night of 9th April, the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was vandalised by unknown miscreants in Kanyakumari TN. Angered citizens carried out protests and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.

Kanyakumari Superintendent of Police Hari Krishna Prasad said, “We do not know whether the statue has been vandalised or not. The statue is slightly damaged. We have registered a case and constituted a team to investigate”. The Police have been asked to remain alert to maintain law and order.
