Devotees of Shriram hold a peaceful procession in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area without Police permission

Police denied permission in the name of law and order !

New Delhi – Delhi Police denied permission for ‘Shriram Bhagawan Pratima Yatra’ on the occasion of Ramnavami through the Muslim-dominated Jahangirpuri area in North-West Delhi. The Police feared it might cause a law & order situation. Yet, devotees of Shriram held a peaceful procession on 30^th March. A large Police force was deployed for their protection.

Police deployment was also increased in the entire city. Last year, Muslim fanatics had attacked a procession organised on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti in the same area near the mosque.

• Not the Hindus, but Muslim fanatics try to cause law & order problems by attacking the religious processions of Hindus all the time. Prohibitions are imposed on Hindus though, instead of controlling the Muslim fanatics !
• The fact is that Hindus held the procession peacefully as usual, but unlike last year, Muslim fanatics could not attack it due to Police protection to the procession.
• If this is the situation in the capital of a secular country, it is scary to even think about the situation in other parts !
