Khalistan supporters take out a rally at ‘Times Square’, USA

Raise anti-India and pro-Pakistan slogans

New York (USA) – Khalistan supporters staged a protest rally at the famous ‘Times Square’, protesting against the Indian Government’s attempts to arrest Amritpal Singh, a Khalistani leader. Women and children also joined the rally. They were carrying Khalistan flags and raising slogans against India, besides raising slogans in favour of Pakistan. There was heavy Police security at the venue.

New York Police have become alert in the background of attacks on Indian Consulates in London and San Francisco.
Punjab Police tried to arrest Amritpal Singh on the 18th of March 2023, but he dodged them with the help of his supporters. Search is going on for him since then.
On the other hand, Arindam Bagchi, the Spokesperson of India’s Ministry of External Affairs stated, while explaining Indian Government’s stand, that the concerned countries should take stringent action against the offenders, in which Indian Consulates were attacked. India would like to see action against the attackers, more than just assurance.
