London (Britain) – On 20th March, Khalistanis attacked the Indian High Commission, broke the windows and took down the Indian national flag. After that incident, on 22nd March, once again more than 2,000 Khalistanis came here and protested. This time, heavy security was put in place by London Police. Khalistanis hurled ink, water bottles and eggs at the Police. A large national flag was hoisted on the High Commission building. According to the BBC, the protest was organised by the ‘Federation of Sikh Organisations’ in Britain and various Sikh youth groups.

  1. Khalistanis said, “We are worried about the safety of our family and friends in Punjab. Internet service has been suspended in the State, so we cannot talk to our families. Internet service should be restored.”
  2. On this protest, British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly said, “acts of violence towards staff at the Indian High Commission in London will not be tolerated. I have expressed my views before High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami. Police investigation is ongoing, and we are in close contact with the Indian High Commission in London and the Indian Government We are working with the Metropolitan Police to review security at the Indian High Commission and necessary changes will be made to ensure safety of its staff.”
Editorial Viewpoint

  • Why is London Police not taking strict action against the constant violent protests by Khalistanis ? Or is the British Government instigating Khalistanis ?
  • British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is of Indian descent, still this is the condition of the Indian High Commission in Britain. Those who feel proud of people of Indian descent in power, should take a note of this !
