Christian missionaries’ conversion plot at ‘New Delhi World Book Fair’ foiled by Hindu activists !

United Hindu Front accuses Christian missionaries of conspiracy to convert Christians at Delhi Book Fair

New Delhi – Religious conversion attempt in the ‘New Delhi World Book Fair’ at Pragati Maidan was foiled by the alert Hindu activists. They tore down the ‘Free Holy Bible’ posters on the stall and also seized some copies of the books. The ‘New Delhi World Book Fair’ has been organised at Pragati Maidan from 26th February to 5th March. A book stall was set up here by a Christian organisation called ‘Gideons International’. Free distribution of Bibles was going on at this stall since 24th February.

On learning about this, more than 30 Hindu activists demanded that the Christian missionaries should stop the sale of the Bible and the religious conversion of Hindus. They raised slogans like ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. The atmosphere there was tense for some time due to the aggressive stance of the Hindu activists. Some communist thinkers tried to oppose the Hindu activists, but it did not have any impact. After that, the organisers provided 2 security guards for regular security there. At this time, Christian missionaries told the media, ‘Other religion is distributing Bhagawadgeeta books for the free, same way, we are also distributing Bible’. (Even if Hindus are distributing Bhagawadgeeta for free, religious conversion is never their purpose. Christian missionaries, however, try to convert Hindus by distributing Bible for free and spreading their religion ! – Editor)
