NIA raids 72 places of criminals

Issue of funding from terrorists

New Delhi – National Investigation Agency (NIA) cracked down 72 locations of Bawana and Lawrence Bishnoi gangs in seven States and a union territory viz. Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, and Chandigarh, a union territory in connection with their receiving funds from terrorists. It has been found in raids conducted in Rajasthan that the gangsters were in contact with people from Pakistan.

1. NIA has found Lawrence Bishnoi and Bawana gangs’ connection with Pakistan. The information has been extracted during the investigation of gangsters taken into custody so far. The gangsters informed that Bishnoi and Bawana gangs receive funds from Pakistan for carrying out anti-national activities in India.

2. The criminals arrested in the murder case of the famous singer Sidhu Moose Wala admitted that they received arms and finance from Lawrence and Bawana gangs and terrorists. It is also said that NIA has confiscated arms in a few places.

3. The places raided by NIA are of accomplices of Canada-based criminal Lakhbir Land, who is spreading terrorism in Punjab, and locations of hoodlums Lawrence and Goldy Brar. A few days back, NIA declared Lakhbir Landa, a terrorist, and it was keeping an eye on his relatives. NIA has conducted raids at their places.
