Turkiye cancels Pakistan Prime Minister’s visit !

Current earthquake disaster cited as the reason !

Islamabad (Pakistan) – India sent emergency aid after the devastating earthquake in Turkiye. Pakistan too tried to send aid to Turkiye; but since it was minimal compared to the aid received from India, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif announced a visit to appease Turkiye. However, Turkiye declined this visit. The reason given was that the Turkish Government is busy with rescue and relief efforts. When the entire world knows that there is no reason to visit the country at this time, Sharif was trying to put on a facade of visiting Turkiye to upstage India and to show that Pakistan as an Islamic country was trying to help another Islamic country. Even the citizens of Pakistan were not in favour of this visit.
