Bhopal (MP) – Usha Thakur, MP’s Minister for Tourism and Culture, said that ‘Garba’ programmes have become places of ‘Love Jihad’, and “Muslims will be welcomed at Garbas if their sacred scripture Quran permits them to pursue Idol worship. She has ordered that no one will be allowed entry to any Garba venue across the State without authentic identity proof. She has sent a letter to all the District Collectors in Madhya Pradesh regarding this. While Hindu organisations have welcomed the move, many have called it a plan to spread religious hatred.

She added, “Also, Muslim men who have faith in pursuing Idol worship will only be welcomed at Garba venues if they come along with their female family members”. Many Garba programmes are organised in cities such as Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. Usha Thakur has taken this decision because it has come to light that Muslim youth enter Garba venues by hiding their identities to seduce Hindu girls and women. A few days ago, she stated that Garba Mandaps have become a hub of ‘Love Jihad’.
