Stone pelting by Muslims during immersion of Shri Ganesh Idol at Chandauli, UP

Chandauli (UP) – Muslims pelted stones at the procession taken out during the immersion of the Shri Ganesh Idol in Chandauli, UP. The Muslims also beat up the Hindus. Six people were injured, and many vehicles were damaged. On getting information about it, the Police from Alinagar and Mughalsarai rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. A video of the incident has also gone viral on social media.

As part of the Shri Ganeshotsav celebration, an Idol of  Shri Ganesh was installed in Alinagar. A procession was taken out during the immersion of the Shri Ganesh Idol. While this procession was passing through a Muslim settlement, a sudden stone pelting on the procession started. After that, clashes arose between Hindus and Muslims. The Muslims deliberately left an animal loose to enter the procession. This led to a dispute and resulted in a scuffle, alleged the Hindus.
