New Delhi – Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said at a function here that those who park their vehicles in the wrong manner on the road will now be fined a penalty of ₹1,000. He also said that a new law will be enacted soon.

Gadkari further said, ‘It is very dangerous to park on the road in the wrong manner. The growing number of cars in urban areas has led to a pattern of improper parking. Although every member of the family has a car, it does not create a parking space. Currently, wide roads are seen as ‘parking lots’. Anyone who sends a photograph of an incorrectly parked vehicle on the street will be rewarded with ₹500’.
