Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain visits ‘Frontispiece of Sancoale’ at Shankhawali

Ancient Shri Vijayadurga Mata at Shankhawali (Sancoale)

Ramnathi, (Goa) – On 14^th June, the spokesperson of ‘Hindu Front for Justice’ and Advocate of Supreme Court Vishnu Shankar Jain, Advocate Madan Mohan Yadav of Varanasi, Goa, Prof. Subhash Velingkar of the Bharat Mata ki Jai organization and Mr Satyavijay Naik of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti visited the heritage site ‘Frontispiece of Sancoale’ at Shankhawali (Sankwal) (land of ancient Sri Vijayadurga temple) and Safa Masjid at Ponda.

For the past few years, the church has been putting pressure on government officials to seize the ‘Frontispiece of Sankwal’ heritage site.

The cross, erected illegally by Christians, and the entrance to the ancient Sri Vijaydurgadevi temple are visible on the left.
The dignitaries who visited the site inspected the area, as well as the ponds and banyan trees in the Safa Masjid area at Ponda.
