Ayodhya (UP) – UP CM Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation stone of Shriram Temple’s sanctum sanctorum (garbha-gruha) in Ayodhya. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Swami Parmanand and saints and Mahants of more than 100 Muths as well as temples associated with the Shriram Temple movement were present at the ceremony. Along with the laying of the foundation, the 2nd phase of the construction was being started. The construction work of the 1st phase of Shriram Temple in Ayodhya was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi almost two years ago.

The work is successfully proceeding and we are fortunate that the ritual of keeping the stones in the garbha-gruha had been initiated yesterday. As per the plan, the work of the garbha-gruha will be completed by December 2023 and the Consecration of the Idol of Shriram will be done on the Makar Sankranti of 2024.

Temples of Bhagwan Valmiki, Mata Shabari and Jatayu will be built

Under the temple planning, the temples of Bhagwan Valmiki, Mata Shabari and Jatayu, Mata Sita, Vighneshwar (Ganesh) and Sheshavtar (Lakshaman) will also be built along with the Shriram Temple on the premises. All this construction is going to be done on a total 70-acre premise and outer premises of the garden.
