Guwahati (Assam) – Assam Government opines that the Popular Front of India (PFI) and Campus Front of India (CFI) should be banned. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that he hoped and had faith that the Indian Government would think favourably about his appeal.
CM Sarma said further that if you visit Baksa District then you will know that these 2 organisations were interested in disturbing the fabric in Baksa. During an eviction drive in Garukhati Assam’s Darrang District in September 2021, a proposal was sent to the Centre about banning these 2 organisations for provoking people.
