Idols of Hindu Deities buried under stairs of Jama Masjid in Delhi should be recovered

Demand of Hindu Mahasabha in a letter addressed to PM Narendra Modi  

New Delhi – Idols of Hindu Deities are buried under the stairs of Jama Masjid. National President of Hindu Mahasabha Swami Chakrapani has made a demand in a letter addressed to PM Narendra Modi stating that those Idols should be dug out from there so that they could be worshipped. He has also demanded a survey of the Jama Masjid.

Hindu Mahasabha has mentioned some historical evidence. It is said that the writer Shahi Mustak, a historian in Aurangzeb’s court had mentioned this incident in his book written in 1710. Khan Jahan Bahadur had looted Hindu temples in Jodhpur and had carried the loot in hundreds of vehicles to Aurangzeb. Aurangzeb was very pleased with Khan and had ordered him to keep the valuables in his safe and the Hindu Deities to be buried under the stairs of Jama Masjid.

Temple of Shri Vishnu under Jama Masjid

BJP’s MP Sakshi Maharaj has claimed of having a temple of Shri Vishnu beneath Jama Masjid. He said a Temple of Shri Vishnu was on the banks of the River Yamuna. I am telling about this temple since 2009 when I was MLA.
