Consequences of teasing young women going to temples at Hanumangarh, Rajasthan

Deadly attack on VHP leader by Muslim youth

Hanumangarh (Rajasthan) – Satveer Saharan, a local leader of Vishva Hindu Parishad, was severely injured in an attack. He was attacked when he questioned Muslim youth sitting in front of the Ramdev temple in Hanumangarh about teasing young women visiting the temple. They beat him up with an iron rod injuring him severely. He has been admitted to a hospital in Bikaner. The incident took place on 11th May at night. Protests by the VHP after the incident have created a tense situation here. As a result, the internet service has been suspended. Police did a flag march in sensitive areas.

SP says it is a minor incident

VHP’s provincial convener Ashish Parekh has warned the Police about further action, if the accused is not arrested immediately. The SP, on the other hand, said it was a minor incident. (Action should be taken against the SP who says that the incident of life-threatening assault on someone is minor. But it is next to impossible in a Congress-ruled State – Editor)

Editorial Viewpoint

Is this Rajasthan or Pakistan ? Considering the continuous attacks on Hindus in Rajasthan for the last 2 months, where Congress is in power, Hindus feel that the Central Government should intervene and ask the State Government to control the law and order situation in the State.
