Opposition Front’s PM candidate Shahbaz Sharif

Islamabad (Pakistan) – The debate on the no-confidence motion against Pakistan’s PM Imran Khan will be held on 31st March. Thereafter, voting will commence. As per the information, the opponents have the support of more than 210 MPs. The majority figure is 172. The Opposition ‘Pakistan Democratic Front’ has declared Shahbaz Sharif as their PM candidate. He has been the Chief Minister of Punjab in Pakistan and is Pakistan’s ex-CM Nawaz Sharif’s brother. Hence, his name was already fixed for the post.

Pakistan Democratic Front comprises all 3 opposition parties. Nawaz Sharif’s Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N), Asif Ali Zardari’s Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Maulana Fazal –Ur-Rehman’s Jamiyate Ulema – a – Islam – Fazal (JUI-F).
