Birbhum (Bengal) – A few days ago, following the murder of a Trinamool Congress Panchayat member, 12 houses were set ablaze, killing ten people. The Bengal Government is facing a lot of criticism due to the incident. Following CM Mamata Banerjee’s orders, the Bengal Police launched a raid in the State. In the last 24 hours, more than 350 crude bombs have been seized. Around 200 bombs have been seized in Birbhum alone and 11 people arrested in the case. A 3-year-old boy succumbed to a bomb blast at a house in the Kaliachak area of ​​West Medinipur.

1. From the Keshavpur area of West Medinipur, the Police seized 100 crude bombs. Four bombs were seized from a village in Malda District. While 8 bombs were seized from the premises of Jagdal Police station in North 24 Parganas District. Three persons were arrested from Shyamnagar Prabhati Sangh ground with illegal weapons.

2. The Police also seized five bombs from Memari and Krishnapur in East Barddhaman and arrested two people.

3. During a raid in Krishnanagar of Nadia District 14 crude bombs were seized.

Crude bomb available for 130 rupees ! 

In the year 2022, India Today, in an investigative report, had busted a factory making crude bombs. The report claimed that crude bombs were available in Bengal for a meager sum of Rs 130.
