Decision at the NATO summit
Brussels (Belgium) – A month after the war between Russia and Ukraine began, all members of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) have gathered in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, for an emergency summit. US President Joe Biden is also attending the summit, along with the heads of all European member states. At the summit, it was decided that four large units of NATO troops would be sent to Eastern Europe near Russia’s western border to counter Russia. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said that NATO troops will be sent to Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania.

Zelenskyy appeals global community to support Ukraine !
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called on the international community to take to the streets in support of Ukraine on the one-month eve of the start of the war. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said, ‘All countries should impose tougher sanctions on Russia to support Ukraine. We are going to send 600 missiles to help Ukraine’.
Increase in sanctions on Russia !
Britain has imposed sanctions on six more Russian banks. These include Alpha Bank. Britain has also imposed sanctions on Russian-appointed Mayor in Melitopol, Ukraine. Boris Johnson said his country has so far imposed sanctions on 1,000 businessmen who support Russia.
Russia claims control of Ukraine’s Izyum city
Russia’s Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov claimed that Russia had taken control of the town of Izyum in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine on the morning of 24th March. The city of Izyum is geographically important.
Ukraine’s navy claims to have destroyed Russia’s huge warship !
The Ukrainian navy has claimed responsibility for sinking a Russian warship, the Orsk, in the Russian-controlled city of Berdiansk off the coast of south-eastern Ukraine.
