Jalandhar (Punjab) – Tension arose when severed heads of 4 cows were found in Variana village. Hindu organisations like Bajrang Dal and Shiv Sena gathered and staged a dharna. On this, the future CM of the State, Bhagwant Mann, protesting the incident of cow slaughter, ordered the DGP to conduct an enquiry and submit a report of the incident.
A few days ago, 18 heads of cows were found at Hoshiarpur in Punjab.
