Editorial comment

Such a lapse in the security of the Supreme Political Leader of the Nation is unforgivable. If the allegations by BJP happen to be correct then why would not the respective Congress leaders be held for committing treason ?

BJP has levelled serious allegations against Congress and the Punjab Police by holding a press conference. BJP leader and Central Minister Smruti Irani said Congress Government in Punjab put the PM in jeopardy purposely. This is not only reprehensible but a punishable offence too. On which  top Congress leader’s instructions the senior officers in the Punjab Police Force were acting ? On what basis did the Punjab Director-General of Police tell the security squad that there was no problem on the road, every management was in perfect order. Why did the Chief Minister of Punjab, Charanjit Singh Channi violate the protocol and give the information concerning PM’s security to the Congress leader Priyanka Vadra ? alleged Irani.

A letter to the President by the Ex-Administrative officer of India

A thorough investigation of the breach in the security of the PM in Punjab is very essential. The culprits should be severely punished. This incident had been tarnishing the image of India at the International level, stated the letter written by the ex-Administrative Officer to President Ramnath Kovind.

What is the issue ?

PM Narendra Modi after having landed at the Bhatinda Airport was travelling by road to Firozepur’s Hussainiwala village, close to Pakistan’s border, for some programme. Since agitating farmers had blocked the road at that time, PM’s motorcade was stranded for 20 minutes on the flyover. Congress Government in Punjab and Punjab Police are being blamed for such negligence.
