14 people infected with Omicron variant despite booster dose

Washington (US) – Few people, though have been fully vaccinated and have also taken a booster dose are infected with a coronavirus’ new variant Omicron. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has stated that 43 Omicron cases have been detected in the US so far.

34 out of them have been fully vaccinated, 14 had even taken a booster dose and 5 out of them had taken a booster dose 14 days before. Out of these 43, 25 are between the ages of 18 and 39. 14 patients had travelled internationally and 6 had already been infected with coronavirus previously. Many patients infected with Omicron have shown mild symptoms like cough, fatigue etc.
