Ranting of The Stalin Government and the duty of Hindus

Editorial

Hindus should overcome provincial identities and unite. Only if the sanctity of temples is preserved can Hindus survive !

An attempt of the Tamil Nadu Government to melt gold of temples has been blocked by a Madras High Court order. While this is somewhat reassuring for Hindus, the Tamil Nadu Government’s argument does not indicate that the temple gold takeover has been averted forever.

The Madras High Court has made it clear that only trustees have the right to decide on the melting of temple gold. The State Government has given a written assurance to the Court that trustees will be appointed. Therefore, it is safe to say that the Tamil Nadu Government can take whatever (anti-Hindu) decision it wants by appointing its trustees. There is no denying the possibility that the Stalin Government will try to seize temple property by using legal loopholes. It is worth noting here that Hindus will have to struggle more ideologically to expose the cunning and outrageous decisions of an anti-Hindu Government. From this perspective, it is necessary to continuously expose the anti-Hindu nature of the Stalin Government, to unite Hindus by creating awareness among them against the Government takeover of temples.

What kind of management is this ?

Regarding the melting of temple gold, the Tamil Nadu Government has vowed that the interest from the gold will be utilised for temple development. A few days before this order, the Court had slammed the Government for not registering and evaluating temple properties for the past 60 years. In these 60 years, the ruling party Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has ruled for at least a decade and a half. This statement of the Court highlights the indifference of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Government towards transparency of the temple property in this period. While filing a petition opposing the decision to melt gold, the petitioners pointed out to the Court that most of the temples in Tamil Nadu have not undergone the process of appointing trustees for the past ten years. This shows the extent of concern (?) the Government has for the development of temples. The Government has not done anything to keep the temples in order; on the contrary, the temples have been unforgivably neglected. Despite several incidents of vandalism of temple Idols in Tamil Nadu, the State Government is not taking any action. The same Stalin Government also decided to attack the customs and traditions of the temples by deciding to appoint non-Brahman priests in the temples.

Today, Government systems are steeped in corruption. Many irregularities have been exposed in Government schemes, such as scams and delays. Many Government establishments across the country are operating at a loss. Government agencies have created this situation. At the same time, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Stalin, claims that he is an atheist. Many of DMK decisions have an anti-Hindu side. DMK party workers treat Hindu devotees rudely. Who will believe DMK’s claim when the Government that has such a background says, ‘We will manage Hindu temples ?’ Has the Tamil Nadu Government taken any action to earn trust ? Considering this fact, any Hindu may think that under the fake claim of managing the temples, the Government will swallow the wealth of the temples and give peanuts to Hindus.

Hindus need to increase pride in their Dharma !

Today, temples across the country are in disarray due to Government takeover; but not enough Hindus are coming forward to raise their voices against this. In Tamil Nadu, so far, very few people have spoken against anti-Hindu attacks. The reason behind this is the Dravidian and Aryan controversy created by the local political parties. Through this bogus debate, it has been inculcated in the minds of Hindus that Tamil culture is independent. As a result, Hindus in Tamil Nadu find provincial identities more important than religiosity. Hindus in Tamil Nadu are religious and devout. Therefore, if the Hindus there are firm, they can unite against the Government and force the Government to hand over temples to the devotees.

Political parties in Tamil Nadu distribute expensive freebies during elections. This has become a trend. As a result, the people in Tamil Nadu have become accustomed to receiving freebies. Hindus should give up this selfishness. Hindus in Tamil Nadu should show the Government (which is always taking anti-Hindu decisions) its place through the ballot box. Temples are the foundation of Hindu Dharma. The Hindus in Tamil Nadu should come forward to maintain this source of Chaitanya (Divine consciousness). Hindus in Tamil Nadu should also make efforts to take away temples from Government clutches not only in Tamil Nadu or South India but all over India.

Some days ago, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and BJP MLA Trivendra Singh Rawat was barred from visiting a temple by local priests. The priests protested since they were angry about the Government takeover of temples. Hindu devotees feel that temples should be freed from the control of the Government. Now, Hindus all over the country should overcome provincial identities and come together as Hindus. Only if the sanctity of temples is preserved can Hindus survive.
