Cancelling the webinar is just a superficial solution. It is necessary to put those indulging in such acts behind bars.

New Delhi – While promoting a webinar on behalf of the ‘Center for Women’s Studies’ on 29th October at Jawaharlal Nehru University (‘JNU’), the mention of Kashmir was made as ‘Indian occupation of Kashmir’. This was opposed by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) workers. When JNU got this information it cancelled the webinar before it started. The administration has now ordered an enquiry into the matter. ABVP has demanded action against the organisers in this matter.
