Kanker (Chhattisgarh) – Ansh Tiwari, a student of St. Joseph’s School run by Christian missionaries in Bhanupratappur, Kanker, was asked by the Principal to cut his ‘Shikha’(a tuft of hair on the back of the head) and then come to the school. Ansh told him that the ‘Shikha’ is a symbol of Indian culture and he refused to cut it. As a result, the Principal turned him out of the school. This information was given to Raja Pandey, the President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, who went to the school with some workers and protested.

They placed the saffron flag in the Principal’s room. When the Police came to know about the agitation they tried to calm down both sides. The Special District Magistrate Jitendra Yadav said that if the Principal of the school has acted like this, action will be taken against him.
St. Joseph’s School has been functioning for the last 20 years. In the year 2019, the Principal of the school had banned the chanting of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram’. This action also faced opposition. The ban was lifted after the Administration intervened. (This reflects the anti-Hindu and anti-India mentality of Christian missionary schools. Realise that the so-called secularists do not utter a word about it. – Editor)
