Religious fanatic Muslims attack Hindus in Malda (Bengal)

Malda (Bengal) – In the Mothabari area of Malda District, religious fanatic Muslims launched an attack on Hindus. Videos of the incident have gone viral on social media, showing mobs taking to the streets and targeting Hindu shops and homes. Police have arrested 34 individuals in connection with the violence. Currently, internet services in the area have been suspended.

1. According to the Police, a procession was carried out on 26thMarch, which passed by a local mosque. It was alleged that some individuals threw firecrackers near the mosque. Following this, certain individuals objected, which led to a sudden escalation. The mob began pelting stones at the Police and vandalising vehicles. To control the situation, the Police resorted to lathi charges and fired tear gas shells. During the chaos, the mob damaged public transport vehicles and local shops.

2. BJP leader and opposition MLA Suvendu Adhikari shared videos of the incident, claiming that Hindu shops were being specifically targeted in Mothabari. He wrote to the Governor, CV Ananda Bose, demanding that the State Government be directed to deploy CAPF in the Mothabari area to ensure the safety of Hindus. Adhikari alleged that the situation posed an increasing threat to Hindus and called for immediate protective measures.

3. Union Minister Dr Sukanta Majumdar also shared videos of the violence, describing it as “horrific scenes from Mothabari.” He said that the violent mob had destroyed Hindu homes and shops. Majumdar criticised Mamata Banerjee and the Police for their inaction, stating that they were turning a blind eye to the violence. He blamed the State Government’s shameless appeasement politics for the resulting anarchy, fear, and injustice against Hindus.

Instead of just urging security deployment, shouldn’t the BJP-led Union Government dismiss the TMC Government and impose President’s Rule to truly protect Hindus & the nation ?
