190 countries celebrated International Yoga Day
New Delhi – ‘Today, the entire world is fighting against the coronavirus. In this fight, Yoga has come forth as a ray of hope, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 21st June, the 7th International Yoga Day. ‘Yoga for Wellness’ will be the theme for this year. 190 countries worldwide celebrated the Yoga day.
Modi said, ‘although since last 2 years the world did not celebrate any events due to corona, yet on the International Yoga Day, the public spirit did not dampen. This year’s Yoga theme is ‘Yoga for Wellness,’ which attracted people. I hope that every country, society, and individual would remain healthy. During these difficult times of corona, people have developed a liking for Yoga. It has increased confidence in public to fight the coronavirus. Yoga is being researched worldwide. Research is also being done on how immunity is positively affected by Yoga.

M-Yoga app to be launched
In collaboration with World Health Organization (WHO), India will launch M-Yoga app. This app will have information on different asanas and will be available in different languages.
