Gujarat High Court : Impossible to implement strict rules of discipline like China in India with regard to coronavirus pandemic !

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) – India can be compared with only China; but with regard to Indians abiding by the laws, we cannot implement it strictly in India like China, expressed the Division Bench of Justices Bela Trivedi and Bhargav D Karia of the Gujarat High Court during the hearing of the suo moto PIL which the High Court had heard considering the Covid -19 situation and other related issues in Gujarat.

The Gujarat High Court said further that the State Government should upgrade the health infrastructure for medical facilities keeping in mind that there could be a third and fourth wave of coronavirus as people do not appear to be following the rules concerning coronavirus, seriously yet. State Attorney General Kamal Trivedi while stating the need for the State Government to prepare for the forthcoming challenge, compared India to European nations with regard to handling the challenge of coronavirus pandemic boldly. The Court commented while expressing that China had done a commendable job with regard to corona virus and hence India can be compared only with China; but cannot implement their strict rules.
