Bengaluru (Karnataka) : The Police arrested 2 Doctors from Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Chamrajpet for running a racket of issuing fake Covid certificates and black marketing the drug Remdesivir. The accused were identified as Dr. B. Shekhar and Dr. Prajwala. Dr. B. Shekhar is a medical officer at PHC. Two more individuals involved in running the racket and helping these Doctors have also been arrested.
As informed by the Police, both the Doctors used to work in tandem with Kishor and Mohan employed at two different hospitals. They used to refer patients to Chamarajpet PHC, where these doctors used to charge Rs. 500 to issue a fake RT-PCR negative certificate. This team used to sale Remdesivir injection for almost Rs. 25,000 per vial.
