1. Seekers should learn from each other and put the learning into practice : We can learn how God moulds each jiva (Embodied soul). Each of us has infinite virtues. If we offer all these virtues unto the Holy feet of God, we are certain to progress spiritually. Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale is the form of Shri Vishnu and He created ‘Gurukrupayog’. We should offer all our virtues one-by-one to God, effectively meaning offering to God what He gave us and remove our personality defects.
Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale expects that we learn from each other. Through this, we should imbibe virtues and put them into practice. If we clean and purify our mind by eliminating our personality defects and ego, it will help increase our devotion and we will receive Divine strength. Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale has already resolved that during the adverse times, the number of seekers who will attain the spiritual level of 61% will be numerous. The resolve of the Guru has already become active for every jiva that performs spiritual practice. Therefore, let us show determination to practice what we have learnt.
2. It is important to prepare the mind for the emergency times : If we perform karma with bhav (Spiritual emotion) and devotion, the flow of devotion will increase, and consequently, our mind will become ready. This will lead to reduction in anxiety. Devotion itself is strength and there is strength in devotion. If our mind is ready to face the adverse times, we will be prepared in the physical dimension as well.
If there is conflict in the mind, faith too will become inactive. If faith is strong, everything will work out fine. To prepare for the adverse times, exercises are taught so that the body of the seekers remain healthy. Apart from taking care of the body, every moment should be utilised for spiritual practice. We would progress by increasing our spiritual practice. Once spiritual practice of the seeker increases, there is stability.
Realising how much God does for us is a part of expressing gratitude. And, we should increase this aspect as much as we can. In the favourable times, it was appropriate to learn aspects as per our own liking.
However, in the adverse times, we should learn every aspect with interest, whatever is necessary. Some people want to perform spiritual practice; however, they do not want to face any struggle. Spiritual practice cannot take place without struggle.
3. In the adverse times, it is essential that spiritual practice takes place instead of our own wish : We should not have expectations that God will protect us during the adverse times. Rather, we should ensure that our spiritual practice takes place during this time.
We should make efforts to perform spiritual practice as per our capability. This spiritual practice is at the subconscious level, and hence, no one can oppose it. For example, Sant Janabai was also opposed in Her spiritual practice, but her spiritual practice continued at the subconscious level. Also, spiritual practice is different as per the prakruti (Nature) of the individual. There should not even be own wish that the family members should perform spiritual practice. We should guide them as per our discretion and without any expectations about how much spiritual practice they should perform.
We also come across many questions while performing spiritual practice, but we may not get their answers immediately. When the time is right, God will Himself provide the answers. Sometimes, these will be in the form of spiritual experiences.
When we are engrossed in ourselves, our thinking is limited to ‘I’ and ‘mine’, but when we think about the samashti (Society), the environment undergoes favourable changes due to our expansiveness.
